Crystal Palace winger and Ivory Coast international Wilfried Zoha (30) has been offered to Marseille, according to a report from Foot Mercato. Zaha will be a free agent next June and a handful of high-profile clubs, including Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal or Monaco are keen to sign the pacy winger on a free transfer. Now, according to the outlet, Zaha’s entourage have taken the initiative to enter into talks with Marseille over the possibility of bringing the Crystal Palace free-scoring forward to the vibrant Vélodrome.
The second-placed Ligue 1 side are reportedly open to such a move. However, if Marseille were to be of interest to Zaha, they have to book their place for next season’s Champions League. Furthermore, it would be a surprise to see Marseille match the winger’s current €6m wages per year. Arsenal, who are long-term admirers of Zaha, would be able to do so. The Gunners are also on their way to a return to the Champions League through their Premier League position. According to Foot Mercato, the possibility of Arsenal making a firm offer for Zaha is seen as increasingly likely.
