According to Germany’s “Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung”, the purchase clause in the 25-year-old’s loan agreement totals €2.2 million.
“The club has an option to buy me,” Larsson revealed, “so it’s up to them what they do. But I am very happy here and would like to stay.”
Given that there were open questions about his lack of effort for Schalke, it’s likely that Germany’s Königsblauen would like to offload him. The price-tag may nevertheless prove problematic. Germany’s “Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung” claims that the purchase option totals some €2.2 million.
This remains well below Larsson’s current estimated market worth of €4 million, but still seems a rather high amount for the Danish club to shell out. Larsson will be due back in Gelsenkirchen at the end of the season on a contract with his parent club that still runs through 2025.
