RB Leipzig and France star Christopher Nkunku will miss the World Cup after sustaining an injury in training.
The French Football Federation confirmed on Tuesday evening that Nkunku has suffered a sprain in his left knee, which will keep him out of the tournament in Qatar.
“The whole group shares Christopher’s sadness and wishes him a speedy recovery,” a statement from the federation read.
According to reports, Nkunku will be replaced by Eintracht Frankfurt forward Randal Kolo Muani.
France already have to do without Presnel Kimpembe, Paul Pogba and N’Golo Kanté.
