Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting is in line to start Bayern Munich’s first game of 2023 against RB Leipzig after recovering from illness.

Bayern Munich have been boosted by the return of Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting to training ahead of the Bundesliga restart.
Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting was given a break over the weekend after he missed Friday’s 4-4 friendly draw with RB Salzburg due to illness.

The 33-year-old back on the training ground today, meaning he is likely to start against RB Leipzig on Friday.

“The way he played in the past weeks, he’s indispensable,” Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann recently said.

Choupo-Moting has scored 11 goals in 16 matches so far this season.
