Chelsea have seen an €8m bid for Djylian N’Guessan (17) rejected by Saint-Étienne, according to a report from L’Équipe.
ASSE have been reluctant to part ways with their best players and brightest prospects, despite relegation back to Ligue 2, and the wealth of their owners, Kilmer Sports Ventures, has allowed them to keep the likes of Lucas Stassin and Zuriko Davitashvili, despite advances from rival clubs.
However, they may not be able to resist Premier League interest in France U20 international N’Guessan, whose family’s relationship with Les Verts has also deteriorated, as per L’Équipe. Chelsea have already seen an €8m bid rejected and have set a price tag of €12.5m. Given the level of interest in the forward, it feels likely that the valuation will be met.
As well as Chelsea, Arsenal and Brentford are also in the for the player and a transfer during the January transfer window is on the cards.
