A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has made his way back onto the transfer radar of English outfit Chelsea.
That’s according to Fichajes, who highlight Marc Casadó as the player in question.
Youngster Casadó was of course hotly tipped for a move to west London this past summer, after Chelsea earmarked the 22-year-old as one of a number of potential signings from Hansi Flick’s squad.
In the end, no such move was forthcoming, but the Stamford Bridge brass have evidently not lost sight of Casadó.
As per a report from Fichajes:
‘The London club’s strategy under Enzo Maresca includes strengthening the midfield, and Casadó would fit into that plan.’
The Spanish international has for his part fallen somewhat out of favour under Barcelona headmaster Hansi Flick across the season to date.
All told, despite the seemingly endless injury problems in the Blaugrana’s midfield ranks, Casadó has been afforded a starting berth in just six of his side’s La Liga fixtures.
It nevertheless remains to be seen, though, if the Camp Nou brass would be open to a sale.
