With a 2-1 win over familiar foes Borussia Dortmund on Saturday, Bayern Munich extended their perfect start to the season, making it 11 wins from 11 in all competitions.
Seemingly unstoppable at the moment, Vincent Kompany’s men will be strong favourites heading into Wednesday’s home clash with Belgian side Club Brugge.
Harry Kane has been particularly difficult to contain, finding the net 19 times in just 11 appearances across all competitions.
Brugge, meanwhile, sit second in the Belgian first division after winning their last three league matches, trailing only Royale Union SG.
They made a strong start to their Champions League campaign with a 4-1 victory over Monaco, but then fell to a 2-1 defeat to Atalanta despite taking a first-half lead.
The two sides last met 20 years ago in the Champions League group stage. Bayern won their home fixture 1-0, while the return leg in Belgium ended in a 1-1 draw.
Team news and predicted lineups:
Alphonso Davies (knee), Hiroki Ito (foot) and Jamal Musiala (ankle) all remain sidelined for Bayern.
Serge Gnabry missed Bayern’s 2-1 win over Borussia Dortmund due to an adductor problem and remains a doubt. Josip Stanišić is edging closer to full fitness but is unlikely to be ready to start.
Club Brugge, meanwhile, will be without Simon Mignolet (fractured fibula), Raphael Onyedika (hamstring), and Ludovit Reis (shoulder).
