Prior to Real Madrid’s game against Espanyol tomorrow, Carlo Ancelotti told journalists that fans shouldn’t expect the club to make any more new signings this summer.
In the press conference that was transcribed by AS, the Italian coach stated that he is very happy with the squad he has at his disposal and expects Mariano Díaz to stay at Los Blancos:
“I’m counting on Mariano, he’s the best striker in the world. It’s more complicated for him to play than for others. We have a squad with a lot of resources. If Marco Asensio leaves, we won’t sign anyone because we don’t need to.”
He also confirmed that Dani Ceballos will stay at Real Madrid as well:
“Dani is going to stay, I have no doubt. He wants to stay and we are delighted. He hasn’t played that much yet, but next week we have a game every three days and he’ll get more minutes because he deserves it.”
