Burnley want to keep Gladbach loanee

Burnley are reportedly keen to tie Gladbach loanee Jordan Beyer down to a permanent deal.

Bild is reporting that Burnley want to keep Jordan Beyer beyond the end of his loan spell.
The 22-year-old centre-back has emerged as a regular starter following his loan move from Gladbach, making 12 League appearances for the English Championship leaders.

It now appears that Burnley are keen to tie the 22-year-old down to a permanent contract, but it’s unclear if Gladbach want to let him leave.

According to Bild, Burnley have no option to make the transfer permanent and would therefore have to find an agreement with Gladbach, where Beyer is under contract until 2026.

Asked about Beyer’s loan spell, Gladbach coach Daniel Farke said:

“The loan is working out exactly the way we wanted it to. He has had to assert himself in a very physical league.

“His strengths, including dribbling, come into play with a team like Burnley. This year has been good for him football-wise and in terms of personality development. We are following his development very positively.”
