Burnley have announced they have completed the signing of Aaron Ramsey from Aston Villa.
The 20-year-old has penned a five-year contract at Turf Moor, keeping him at the club until 2028.
Ramsey is an academy graduate of Villa who had been a regular for the club’s Under-21s, making 30 appearances and scoring 15 goals.
The youngster spent the first-half of the 2022-23 campaign on loan at Norwich City, posting 20 Championship appearances.
He then went to Middlesbrough for the remainder of the season, where he netted five goals in 11 games.
Ramsey has now completed a move to Burnley for a fee in excess of £12 million, per BBC Sport.
He has expressed his delight on joining the Clarets, saying he “can’t wait to get started”.
The midfielder said: “I’m absolutely buzzing. I have been waiting to be a Burnley player for a while now and I’m really happy it’s all officially done now. I can’t wait to get started.
“I can’t wipe my smile off my face. When you come to a new club you want the lads to welcome you in and everyone here has done that straight away. It’s been really easy to settle, everyone has been amazing.”
Burnley made an immediate return to the Premier League after suffering relegation to the second-tier at the end of the 2021-22 season.
Under Vincent Kompany, they posted an incredible 101 points to win the Championship title last term.
The Clarets have made some smart acquisitions this summer, including Jordan Beyer, Zeki Amdouni, and James Trafford.

The promoted side completed the signing of Sander Berge from Sheffield United earlier this month, and now they have confirmed the arrival of Aaron Ramsey.
The 20-year-old mainly plays as an attacking midfielder but can also be deployed in central midfield. He likes to dribble and is highly rated for his through balls and finishing ability.
