The Bundesliga match between Mainz and Union, which was scheduled to take place on Friday, has been postponed.

The Bundesliga match at the MEWA ARENA between Mainz and Union Berlin will not take place as scheduled on Friday evening.
This was announced by the German Football League (DFL) and the two clubs on Thursday.
Due to the wintry weather conditions, the game cannot take place on Friday and will be postponed to a later date.
“The stadium operator of the MEWA ARENA has closed the venue. The reason for this is the heavy ice formation on the lower tiers, especially in the standing area, as well as on the access routes and the associated safety risks for spectators,” the DFL said in a statement.
“A new date for the game will be announced shortly.”
Union already have a mid-week game next week, as their postponed December match against Bayern Munich will be played on Wednesday.
