Girona are causing quite the upset at the top of La Liga. Currently sitting in second place, level on points with Real Madrid, there is a significant chance that the Spanish minnows could shock the entire football world by becoming Spanish champions.
In the middle of all this is a 19-year-old Brazilian wonderkid on loan from ESTAC Troyes in France’s second tier. With five assists and four goals in La Liga so far this season, Sávio has caught the attention of Europe’s elite clubs.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City are looking to sign the Brazilian – who is part of the City Group – and bring him to the Etihad for next season. However, Bundesliga and Premier League clubs are set to approach the European champions with €30 million proposals for the exciting teenager.
As of yet, it is unknown which Bundesliga clubs are interested in Sávio, but the €30m price tag certainly rules out a number of possible sides. Regardless, he will remain at Girona until the end of the season as the Spanish side look to claim their first La Liga title.
