After ten years with SV Werder Bremen, Germany U21 international Jean-Manuel Mbom is headed north to Denmark.

German youth international Jean-Manuel Mbom has completed his permanent transfer away from long-time academy club SV Werder Bremen. The 23-year-old signed a new contract with Denmark’s Viborg FF. The five-times-capped Germany U21 international departs German football having made 23 top-tier appearances for the Hanseatic City State. 

Mbom mostly featured for the Bremen reserves and made more regular appearances for the team during their 2021/22 stint in the 2. Bundesliga. Details concerning a transfer fee were not disclosed. Mbom maintains an estimated market worth of €800,000 in the latest transfermarkt listings. The German of Cameroonian descent was one of the players famously featured in Germany’s popular “Schwarze Adler” documentary.
