Sky is currently reporting that EFL Championship side Leeds United are the club set to purchase SV Werder Bremen midfielder Ilia Gruev.

Long released from the club’s training regimen due to an impeding transfer, it now appears that Bremen midfielder Ilia Gruev’s next destination is the Isle. Sky Sport’s U.K. outfit presently reports that the Bulgarian international will be moving to Leeds United. The move looks to be a permanent transfer. Gruev’s current estimated market worth is €3 million.
Leeds had been attempting to acquire another Bundesliga player, Nadiem Amiri of Bayer 04 Leverkusen. The latest news on that transfer is that the 26-year-old once again entertained the possibility of changing his mind; going so far as to fly to Yorkshire via a private jet on Monday. Multiple German footballing media sources nevertheless reported yesterday that Amiri still decided against the move after talks.
