Die Werderaner have been linked with the 23-time Finnish international.
According to reports, Werder Bremen is looking for a central midfielder, with a Finnish international increasingly coming into focus.
As the portal iSport reports, Bremen is actively pursuing Kaan Kairinen from Czechia club Sparta Prague.
The 26-year-old has been a leading player for the team in recent years, providing a driving force in the central midfield position.
Bremen’s initial offer in the low millions for the Finn, under contract until 2028, was rejected, but an improved offer is expected soon.
During the 2024/25 season, Kairinen made 28 domestic league appearances providing 3 assists and 2 Champions League goals.
Sparta is said to already have a potential replacement for Kairinen on the horizon in Ajax’s Sivert Mannsverk.
