Moses Itauma — remember the name!
The 20-year-old heavyweight sensation did it again on Saturday, the 16th of August when he dispatched Dillian Whyte with ease, dominating him with one-two punches, thumping him to the body and to the head, wobbling him, and then dropping him for good. It was the worst Whyte has ever looked, and arguably the best Itauma has, as the rising star continues his ascent to the top of boxing’s glamour division and appears intent on taking down the elite in the division — Joseph Parker and unified world heavyweight boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk.
One round was all Itauma needed to send Whyte to the canvas, secure his lightning-quick win, and advance his pro boxing record to 13 wins (11 KOs).
And the brilliance of his performances so far, combined with his obvious abilities, continues to make the entire boxing world sit up and take notice. From heralding him the next face of British boxing, to a fighter with Mike Tyson vibes, everyone has had their say on just how special a talent Itauma truly is.
