Ahead of their Champions League round of 16 game, Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen will close to full fitness heading into Wednesday’s game.
The only current absentee for Leverkusen is midfielder Robert Andrich. The 30-year-old will miss the first leg due to illness, reports kicker. Andrich also sat on the bench for the whole game against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday evening. Apart from the obvious absences of Jeanuël Belocian and Martin Terrier, Leverkusen have no players missing.
Edmond Tapsoba on the other hand will be available. The defender missed Leverkusen’s 4-1 win against Frankfurt due to muscular problems but returned to training yesterday and also participated in team training this afternoon.
For Bayern, they will be without Aleksandar Pavlovic. The midfielder is out with a cold, this cold also kept him out of their 3-1 win at the weekend against VfB Stuttgart. Joshua Kimmich was also absent on Friday due to a tendon injury picked up against Frankfurt the week before, but he resumed team training and will be available.
Aside from Pavlovic, Bayern are not missing any other regular first team players.
