Borussia Mönchengladbach are interested in Wolfsburg attacker Omar Marmoush whose contract expires in the summer, reports Rheinische Post.
With Marcus Thuram leaving Gladbach at the end of the season, they have needed to look for a replacement and Marmoush may be their man. The Egyptian can play as a winger as well as a striker and as he can move on a free in the summer he is more desirable. It is unlikely that he will extend his contract at Wolfsburg.
Gladbach are not the only team interested in the 24-year-old as Eintracht Frankfurt are also monitoring the situation.
This season Marmoush has featured mainly from the bench for Wolfsburg. The 24-year-old has played 24 times scoring four and assisting once. He recently started in Wolfsburg’s 2-0 win against 1.FC Köln on Saturday.
Last season, Marmoush was on loan at VfB Stuttgart and showed what he can do when he is given regular game time as he was key in helping the Swabians survive relegation on the final day of the season.
