According to Sky Germany, Borussia Mönchengladbach have already begun talks with Gerardo Seoane to replace Daniel Farke as head coach.
Seoane is now seen as the number one candidate for Gladbach and under-23 coach Eugen Polanski is now out of the question. However, an unnamed Italian team are also seriously pushing for Seoane, so Gladbach must speed up their succession planning, which has already taken a lot of time.
Former coach Farke was dismissed last Friday after a poor season for Gladbach. In his only season in charge, Farke finished 10th and after a strong start to the season struggled to win games, especially away from home.
Whoever takes charge of Gladbach will have to lead the rebuilding of the squad. Lars Stindl, Marcus Thuram and Ramy Bensebaini are some of the few who have left the club already while the future of Manu Koné remains in doubt.
While Gladbach have also already begun their summer business making the loan of Julian Weigl permanent as well as signing Lukas Ullrich (Hertha Berlin) and Grant-Leon Ranos (Bayern Munich) on free transfers.
