As reported by Kicker, Borussia Dortmund’s Nico Schlotterbeck is a doubt for Friday night’s Bundesliga game against Bochum. The central-defender missed training on Tuesday and could be sidelined for longer.
Unhappy about his early substitution against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday evening, Schlotterbeck grabbed his injured thigh on one or two occasions in the opening stages and Borussia Dortmund were unwilling to take a risk on the defender, who has been an integral part of BVB’s success this season.
As observed by Ruhr Nachrichten, Schlotterbeck left Dortmund’s Brackel training ground prior to the session taking place. His participation against Bochum on Friday is therefore uncertain.
Schlotterbeck missed Borussia Dortmund’s last three games before returning against Frankfurt.
In positive news for BVB, Julien Duranville took part in training on Tuesday, but the Belgian won’t be an option against Bochum of Friday night as Dortmund look to extend their lead at the top.
