It’s no secret that Borussia Dortmund want to tie Nico Schlotterbeck down to a new long-term contract beyond 2027.
According to Sport Bild, the Black and Yellows have now tabled their first offer to the centre-back.
The report suggests that Schlotterbeck has been offered a deal running until 2030, with a salary increase from €2.5 million to at least €8 million. With performance-related bonuses, his total earnings could rise even further.
There is no deadline for the German international to respond, as Dortmund don’t want to pressure him.
However, whether the first offer will be enough to convince Schlotterbeck is doubtful, as it has been reported that he is seeking an annual salary of €10 million.
Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are said to be monitoring the defender’s situation closely.
