Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly ‘would love’ Christian Pulisic to stay at Stamford Bridge despite gaining extensive interest, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.
Boehly led a £4.25billion takeover of the Blues earlier this year and will back head coach Graham Potter in the January window, where incomings and outgoings could be sanctioned.

Chelsea transfer news – Christian Pulisic
According to the Mirror, Newcastle United are hoping to make Pulisic their next statement signing and there are early indications that he would be interested in sealing a switch to St James’ Park.
The report suggests Manchester United and Arsenal are also monitoring the American’s situation and are open to negotiating a loan deal, but Chelsea would prefer to sanction a permanent departure for £40million.
Spanish sources have revealed that Italy could be an alternative destination for Pulisic as Serie A giants Inter Milan and Juventus are mulling over whether to head to the negotiating table.
There is growing uncertainty over the 24-year-old’s long-term future as he will enter the final 18 months of his Chelsea contract, which is worth £150,000-per-week, at the turn of the year.
Journalist Simon Phillips has previously told GIVEMESPORT that Pulisic is ‘open to leaving’ Stamford Bridge, but the Blues want to hold discussions over his future.

What has Dean Jones said about Pulisic?
Jones believes Chelsea co-owner Boehly is keen to keep Pulisic on board after seeing his fellow countryman perform well at the World Cup.
The journalist feels there are still obstacles for suitors to overcome if they want to strike a deal during the January transfer window.
Jones told GIVEMESPORT: “I don’t think Todd Boehly particularly wants to lose Pulisic, especially on the back of what he’s done at the World Cup.
“I think he would actually love him to stay at Chelsea if they can make it work. I still think there’s a couple of obstacles in that one.”
How did Pulisic perform at the World Cup?
The United States were eliminated from the World Cup at the last 16 stage by the Netherlands, having made it out of Group B with England, and there is no doubt that Pulisic was a star performer.
In fact, the winger was handed the highest average match rating – 7.07 – in Gregg Berhalter’s side by WhoScored, while he also led the way for assists.
Additionally, Sofascore statistics show that Pulisic averaged 2.3 shots per game and scored once, further underlining that he was a threat in the final third of the pitch.
There is no doubt that the former Borussia Dortmund man, who cost Chelsea £58million in 2019, made a lasting impression on the sport’s biggest stage.
