Brentford have confirmed that Bryan Mbeumo has joined their pre-season training.
The 25-year-old is expected to leave the Gtech Community Stadium amid huge interest from Manchester United.
The Red Devils have had two bids rejected for Mbeumo, with the latest worth £62.5 million.
But they are confident of wrapping up a move as talks continue between the two clubs over the structure of the deal and bonuses.
Mbeumo has made it clear he only wants to join United, despite interest from Arsenal, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.
There had been question marks over whether he would return to Brentford amid his desire to join Man Utd.
But in a blow for Ruben Amorim’s side, the Bees have confirmed Mbeumo has joined their pre-season training.
United made an impressive start to the summer transfer window by signing Matheus Cunha for £62.5m.
But transfer activity has been slow at Old Trafford since, with the club yet to agree a deal for Mbeumo.
They are also looking to sell Marcus Rashford, Antony and Alejandro Garnacho, with the trio no longer wanted at the club.
But they are struggling to find buyers for these players due to the enormous wages they are on.
Rashford, Garnacho and Antony have contracts until 2028, which United will probably need to subsidise if they leave to join another club.
