Irrespective of where Liverpool finish at the end of this season, the next summer will intriguing.
Manager Arene Slot happy with the squad he inherited from Jurgen Klopp, but he will definitely look to add a few players of his own choice.
The club must resolve the contract situations of Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, and they must also make a decision about their goalkeeping set-up.
Liverpool have two top-class goalkeepers – Alisson and Caoimhin Kelleher. However, only one of them will stay at the club next season after the Reds signed Giorgi Mamardashvili last summer.
The Georgian goalkeeper is currently playing for Valencia on loan and will join the Reds in 2025.
Galatasaray keen to sign Alisson
According to Sabah Spor, Turkish giants Galatasaray are keen to sign Alisson next summer.
They are closely monitoring his situation and have made moves to sign the 32-year-old Brazilian keeper.
Slot has confirmed recently that Alisson will remain as the first-choice keeper at the club, and Kelleher will be his understudy.
Kelleher has been simply outstanding for both club and country, but he is behind Alisson in the pecking order.
He has always impressed in the absence of Alisson but has found it really hard to cement the number one spot.
Big decision for Liverpool
The Republic of Ireland goalkeeper has said sveral times that he wants to play regular football, and he won’t have any shortage of admirers.
Liverpool can demand a high transfer fee for the 26-year-old if they decide to let him go.
Alisson wants to stay at Liverpool, but will he still be the first-choice goalkeeper at the club next season?
If Gala are prepared to pay a handsome fee for Alisson, Liverpool could be tempted to offload him.
The Reds will never be able to recoup the money they paid for Alisson, and it makes a lot of sense for the club to keep him as goalkeepers usually have a long career.
Having said that, the Liverpool have their own way of dealing with transfers, and the fans must trust them to make the right decisions.
