Bernardo Silva is ready to wait for Barcelona to make an offer for him until the final day of the transfer window, as reported by Marca.
The Mancheser City midfielder is patient and is aware of the fact that Barcelona need to find a solution to the Frenkie de Jong situation. The Dutchman’s current salary is a financial burden on the club, and they would either like to reduce it or find a club that is willing to purchase him.
Both Xavi and Joan Laporta would like to see Bernardo Silva in the Blaugrana shirt and the 27-year-old told Manchester City that the Catalan side is the only club he would consider leaving the reigning Premier League champions.
It is very unlikely that Bernardo Silva would go to Barcelona this summer if Frenkie de Jong stays at the club.
However, the Portuguese midfielder is in it for the long haul and will continue to aspire to play for Barcelona, even if the transfer does not happen this transfer window.
