A visibly disappointed Jude Bellingham struggled to find the positives after Borussia Dortmund’s 2-1 defeat against Manchester City.

Dortmund set minimum price for Bellingham

Jude Bellingham admitted he was “gutted” after Borussia Dortmund squandered a 0-1 lead against Manchester City last night, losing 2-1.

The England international, who scored Borussia Dortmund’s opener, told BT Sport:

“It wasn’t one of those games where you can get on the ball and have loads of possession. We knew we’d spend the majority of the game without the ball. We were brilliant for 75 minutes but that’s enough time for City to put you away.

“That’s what great teams do. You don’t give them a sniff and out of nothing they score and tilt the game back in their favour. [Haaland]’s not always in the game, but you give him a sniff and he can make a goal.

“It’s tough to see [the positives] now. I’m gutted. We were 15 minutes or so away but that’s football against the big teams. It’s important that we bounce back at the weekend [against local rivals Schalke].”
