Kicker reports that Bayern Munich’s Dutch midfielder Ryan Gravenberch is a candidate to be loaned out this summer.
Bayern have decided that due to Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, Konrad Laimer and another potential midfielder that could still arrive at the club that it is best for Gravenberch to be sent out on loan. It is likely that he will experience little game time this season.
The midfielder has previously made it clear that he wants to play more next season, during an interview in April, Gravenberch said: “That has to change next season. I really want to play week in, week out again.”
Since moving to Bayern from Ajax last summer for €18.5m, Gravenberch has played 33 times for Bayern but most of his appearances have come off of the bench as the 21-year-old struggled to disrupt the midfield duo of Kimmich and Goretzka under both Julian Nagelsmann and Thomas Tuchel.
Previously, Liverpool have previously shown an interest in Gravenberch but rumours of a deal have cooled down in recent weeks. Whether they reignite their interest due to the prospect of a cheaper alternative to fully purchasing the 21-year-old is still yet to be seen.
