Bayern Munich are confident that they can sign Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes this summer, according to the Independent.
The 29-year-old attacking midfielder is annoyed at the current uncertainty at United and frustrated that he has yet to win a major title.
As per the report, there is a belief that the United hierarchy would be willing to do a deal since they need to sell players this summer in order to meet Profit and Sustainability Rule requirements.
If Bayern were to secure the signing of the Portuguese international, it could also be a breakthrough in Thomas Tuchel staying at the Bundesliga club beyond this season.
The German wanted an additional attacking midfielder to bolster the squad. Should Bayern attempt to sign Fernandes, it could be one of the first indications that the club will stay with Tuchel, unlike what was first planned.
The INEOS football bosses want a big summer at United. However, due to Premier League financial regulations, most clubs will have to sell in order to buy.
This is why Bayern believe there is a deal to be struck for Fernandes.
