As reported by Sky Germany, Bayern Munich have scheduled a meeting with Lucas Hernandez on Tuesday to discuss the Frenchman’s future.
The Rekordmeister have offered Hernandez a new contract until 2027, which has been on the table for several weeks. But with a current deal until 2024, the French defender has an offer from PSG which has put question marks over the player’s future.
However, PSG are yet to submit an opening proposal to Bayern Munich, although they are able to offer the 2018 World Cup winner a higher salary.
Bayern President Herbert Hainer has also confirmed talks with Hernandez while Thomas Tuchel has also repeatedly praised the defender.
Hernandez suffered a torn cruciate ligament at the World Cup in Qatar, and hasn’t played for Bayern in 2023.
The Frenchman’s future is also likely to depend on Benjamin Pavard. Liverpool are leading the race to sign Pavard, but Bayern Munich would be reluctant to lose both defenders this summer.
