According to Bild, Bayern Munich’s search for a number six could take an unlikely direction as they look at the possibility of loaning Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay.
McTominay is surplus to requirements at United and a loan move away would allow the 26-year-old to leave for at least a year. Bild also reports that it is possible that a loan for McTominay could be used as a makeweight in a swap deal that could see Ryan Gravenberch move to the Premier League side.
With the deadline on Friday fast approaching, it is likely that clubs who are in need of filling certain positions will be placed in wild transfer rumours with players who are no longer wanted at their club.
If Bayern aim to win the Champions League this season, McTominay is not the required quality the midfield needs next to Joshua Kimmich if they want to progress deep into the latter stages of the European competition.
