As reported by Bild, Bayern Munich are eyeing up a potential move for Chelsea defender Renato Veiga.
It is understood that scouts for Der Rekordmeister have been watching the Portuguese international for a number of weeks, with Bayern viewing defensive reinforcement as a possible requirement.
This is because Kim Min-jae has recently been linked with a number of clubs, including Liverpool, AC Milan, and sides from Saudi Arabia, who have all stated their interest in the South Korean.
Therefore, Veiga would only be signed should Kim Min-jae depart the Allianz Arena this summer.
As stated within the report, Bayern believe that an offer within the region of €35 million would be enough to strike a deal with Chelsea, but negotiations are yet to begin.
Veiga, who has already experienced Bundesliga football with FC Augsburg, would also offer versatility to the Bayern backline, being able to operate in the centre of defence as well as at full-back.
