As reported by Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich are closing in on signing Kim Min-jae from Napoli.
The South-Korean international is highly rated by head coach Thomas Tuchel. Talks have so far progressed well and the Bavarian side are confident a deal can be reached.
The 26-year-old defender can play both centrally and on the left. Bayern have analysed the player intensely and are very interested in getting hin on board for the 2023/24 Bundesliga season.
The defender has only been in Naples since 2022 when he move from Turkish side Fenerbahçe, where he also only played one season before making the switch to Italy.
Should Bayern sign the South Korean, he would provide interesting competition with the likes of Dayot Upamecano. The 24-year-old featured heavily in the last campaign but has also faced public criticism from Tuchel for his performances.
Min-jae has a release clause in his contract between €50m-€70m.
