Bayern Munich and AC Milan target Bayer Leverkusen’s Amine Adli

Bayer Leverkusen winger and France U21 International Amine Adli (23) is attracting interest from a handful of top European clubs, namely Bayern Munich and AC Milan, according to a report from L’Équipe. The former Toulouse youth product has blossomed since the arrival of Xabi Alonso in the Leverkusen dugout, having registered six goals and six assists in 33 games played with the sixth-placed Bundesliga side. The 23-year-old is expected to feature tonight as Bayer Leverkusen take on José Mourinho’s AS Roma for their Europa League semi-final first leg at the Stadio Olimpico.

According to L’Équipe, Leverkusen want Adli to spearhead the team’s attack from next season as teammate Moussa Diaby (23) is expected to earn a big-money move. Newcastle United will reportedly submit a bid for the PSG youth product, but the Magpies are due to face stiff competition from Premier League rivals Arsenal or from Diaby’s formative club.

Adli is tied to Bayer Leverkusen until 2026. It remains to be seen whether the forward would want to stick around the BayArena should a top club make a push for his services. L’Équipe also point out that Bayern were already close to signing him two years ago. The Bavarians are reportedly still monitoring his progress under the guidance of Xabi Alonso.
