France’s L’Équipe reports that FcBayern München may be on the verge of acquiring Nordi Mukiele on loan from Paris St. Germain. The 26-year-old – capable of playing both in central defense and as a right fullback/wingback – contested 100 Bundesliga matches for RB Leipzig over the course of four seasons before making the switch to Ligue 1 in the summer of 2022. He scored eight goals in the German top flight.
In two seasons with PSG, Mukiele has been unable to establish himself as a regular with the French champions. A paltry seven league appearances for his club this year leaves his prospects of making the French national team in time for this summer’s Euros quite dim. A move back to the Bundesrepublik would thus be favorable to the player. Other French sources, such as “RMC Sport”, confirm L’Équipe’s report.
The French sporting publication reports that Bayern and PSG are currently negotiating a loan deal that will include a purchase option. No exact figures with respect to the purchase clause have been linked. Mukiele maintains an estimated market worth of €12 million in the latest transfermarkt update. PSG reportedly paid precisely that amount to purchase him from the German Red Bulls.
