Reports surfaced on Tuesday evening that Newcastle United had rejected a bid of around €15 million from Bayern Munich for Kieran Trippier.
Despite this, it appears that Bayern have not given up in their pursuit of the right-back.
According to Sport Bild, talks between the two clubs will now continue over a possible January transfer.
Bayern are keen to bring in a right-back before the transfer window closes and have also been linked with Paris Saint-Germain’s Nordi Mukiele.
