Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg believes Bayern Munich are already considering their future strategic direction.
One name being discussed internally and monitored is that of Mario Gomez.
Bayern are understood to have made an informal inquiry last year to gather a sense of his future plans.
Still a resident of München, Gomez is currently the third-most influential figure in the Red Bull network.
His current role involves serving as Technical Director at Red Bull Soccer which he is contracted to until 2028.
