Jamal Musiala has been linked with a move to the Premier League, with Manchester City and Liverpool reportedly keeping tabs on the Bayern youngster.

However, the German champions are not interested in selling the 20-year-old, who is under contract until 2026.

“Jamal is already a fantastic footballer,” Bayern chief executive Jan-Christian Dreessen told Bayerischer Rundfunk.

“He has incredible qualities and so much potential to improve. We would do well to keep him for as long as possible.”

Dreesen also discussed the possibility of extending the contract of veteran goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, who made his long-awaited return from injury in Saturday’s 8-0 win over Damstadt.

“He’s played one game now. I think we should let him play and then we will sit down calmly at the right time,” Dreessen said.

“Manuel has done unbelievable things for us, we owe him a lot and we’ve shown in the past that we want to keep players with merit for as long as possible. Manuel is one of those players.

“As long as he performs at the level we require, nothing is stopping us from extending his contract,” the Bayern chief said on the 37-year-old, whose ocntract expires at the end of the season.
