As reported via FT, Bayer Leverkusen are looking to sign Feyenoord striker Santiago Giménez.
With just three days remaining in the summer transfer window, Die Werkself are optimistic about conducting a significant amount of business.
The German champions appear to have found a suitor for centre-back Odilon Kossounou, with Atalanta set to sign the defender on loan with an obligation to buy.
However, the German champions are also hopeful of securing a few more incomings before the end of the week.
It has been reported that Xabi Alonso’s side are looking to Liverpool for midfield reinforcement, while they are considering hijacking a deal for Nottingham Forest target Giménez.
It is understood that the Feyenoord striker would prefer to move to the BayArena and is waiting for the two clubs to reach an agreement.
Nevertheless, Die Werkself would need to sell before they look to match the €30 million demanded by the Dutch outfit.
Therefore, a transfer could be difficult to achieve by Friday, but the 23-year-old is willing to wait until January for Leverkusen to make a move, regardless of interest from the Premier League.
