As reported by Sky Germany, a delegation from Bayer Leverkusen will travel to London this week to conduct initial negotiations regarding a possible move for West Ham United defender Vladimír Coufal.
Coufal (30) has a contract until 2023 but West Ham have the option to extend the deal by a further two-years until 2025. Because of that, the Premier League side may demand a larger fee to sign the Czech defender.
Strengthening the full-back positions is a priority for Xabi Alonso and B04’s recruitment team. Jeremie Frimpong now operates a more advanced role under Alonso and therefore strengthening at right-back is needed. Per the report, Timothy Fosu-Mensah may depart Die Werkself in the winter.
At left-back, Bayer Leverkusen are closing in on a move for Inter’s Robin Gosens, who also has interest from Wolfsburg and Borussia Mönchengladbach. A return to Germany for the 28-year-old is likely in January, with the defender unhappy with playing time at the Italian club.
