Multiple outlets report that Bayer Leverkusen are set to complete the signing of Hertha Berlin talent Ibrahim Maza, with an announcement expected soon.
The 19-year-old will sign a contract at the club until 2030 and will also join for a fee of around €12m, due to a variable release clause in his Hertha contract, reports Sky Germany. Maza will also undertake his medical over the coming days.
VfB Stuttgart were also said to be interested in Maza as they looked for a replacement for Enzo Millot, who is expected to depart in the summer, but the 19-year-old chose to move to the defending champions.
The arrival of the Algerian now means that Leverkusen will have a profile of a player who can not only play alongside Florian Wirtz next season but could also eventually succeed the 21-year-old when he leaves the BayArena, whether that be in the summer or in 2026.
This season, Maza has seven goals and three assists for Hertha in 32 games as they currently sit in mid-table in the 2.Bundesliga.
