Bayern Munich plan on delving into the transfer market this January as they look for reinforcements. The Bavarian side has already signed 22-year-old Bryan Zaragoza from Granada but do not intend to stop there. The league winners are also looking into short-term options, and a name that is being suggested, according to Mundo Deportivo, is that of Barcelona’s Clément Lenglet, currently on loan at Aston Villa.
The 28-year-old was loaned out to the Premier League side at the end of the summer as they looked for a quick fix following an injury to Tyrone Mings. However, the French international has had a limited role at the club and has not made a single appearance so far in the league, with his only appearances coming in the Conference League.
However, the defender could be a temporary solution to solve some of Bayern’s defensive problems, and Barcelona may be able to cash in on a player whose career at the club seems all but over. Bayern have conceded 15 goals in 18 games so far this season, far above their usual numbers.
