An up-and-coming member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona is expected to be afforded a starting berth in the club’s first fixture of the campaign.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Marc Casadó as the player in question.
Youngster Casadó for his part proved himself an integral member of new Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick’s setup in pre-season.
Fresh off being promoted to first-team duties from Barca Atlètic, the Spaniard was thrown in from the off in successive meetings with all of Manchester City, Real Madrid, AC Milan and AS Monaco.
And Casadó went on to take full advantage of the opportunity, shining from his berth in the middle of the park.
Amid an ongoing injury crisis in the engine room setup in Barcelona, the 20-year-old, in turn, looks set to be rewarded for his ongoing excellence with a first-ever competitive start for the Blaugrana this weeeknd.
As per a report from Diario Sport, all signs point towards Casadó featuring from the off in 24 hours’ time, when Hansi Flick’s troops make the trip to Mestalla, to take on Valencia.
