The brass at La Liga champions Barcelona are ready to afford a new-and-improved contract to midfield starlet Marc Casadó.
This comes as the 22-year-old continues to prove himself an important figure in Hansi Flick’s squad.
Casadó’s renewal has been on the table in Catalunya’s capital for some time now.
In fact, earlier this year, the Spanish international’s entourage negotiated the full terms of as much, through the summer of 2030.
In the end, however, Deco and co. did not go as far as to formalise the deal in the Camp Nou offices.
Casadó, for his part, has since changed representatives, with his affairs off the pitch now handled by super agent Jorge Mendes.
And for this reason, the terms of his new contract will now need to be negotiated from start to finish all over again.
The deep-lying midfielder, though, need not worry, with Diario Sport having confirmed that Barcelona’s plan is to reward Casadó for his ongoing efforts with a ‘significant’ pay rise.
