Barcelona have enquired to know about the asking prices of loan signings Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo ahead of their potential permanent transfers.
The Catalan giants recruited Felix from Atletico Madrid and Cancelo from Manchester City on loan deals on the deadline day of the summer transfer window.
Due to their financial constraints, Barca opted for dry loan deals for the Portuguese duo, however, the Catalan giants intend to sign them on permanent deals sooner or later.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the La Liga champions have learned that Felix’s current valuation stands at €80 million, whereas Cancelo can be acquired for around €25 million plus add-ons.
Last summer, Man City demanded around €70m from Bayern Munich – where Cancelo spent the second half of the last season on loan – for the permanent sale of the Portuguese full-back, and the Bavarians opted against it, considering the enormous fee.
City have now lowered their asking price due to Cancelo’s age and the fact he is not in the plans of Pep Guardiola.
On the other hand, Atletico are willing to do business with Barcelona for around €80m, roughly €50m short of the figures they paid Benfica for his services in 2019.
Nonetheless, the price is on the high end for a financially leveraged side like Barca; besides, Atletico will have more power in the negotiations table because of his contract running until 2029.
However, Barca still have an edge since both the Portuguese superstars are keen on staying at the Catalonian capital beyond next summer.

Furthermore, they are admirers of the Catalan club, as manifested by Cancelo’s words that it was hard to turn down an opportunity to play for his dream club like Barca.
Meanwhile, Felix only wanted to join the Blaugrana and also took a significant pay cut to complete his move.
The 23-year-old has been off to a flying start at Barca, scoring on his first La Liga start as well as netting a double and an assist in the Champions League opener against Royal Antwerp.
Cancelo has also quickly adapted to Xavi’s system, scoring against Real Betis in La Liga.
Meanwhile, Barca have worrying news from Brazil as Vitor Roque has sustained an injury during the Athletico Paranaense’s game against Internacional.
The Catalan giants announced the signing of the Brazilian prodigy in the summer, and he is due to make his switch to the La Liga giants ahead of the 2024/25 season.
But the Blaugrana are looking to bring him as early as January should they receive the green light from La Liga regarding FFP.
However, the Spanish giants now have a major concern, with Roque leaving the field on stretchers with tears just 11 minutes into the game.
Barca await the results of Roque’s medical examinations and are hoping there won’t be any grave injury.
