La Liga giants Barcelona have made a call on the future of youngster David Oduro with the club.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards the defender preparing to stay put in Catalunya’s capital for the 2025/26 campaign.
For those not familiar with his name, Oduro is a Ghanaian left-back, who linked up with Barcelona on loan from Accra Lions last year.
The 18-year-old went on to link up with Barca Atlètic for the campaign, for whom he managed 10 league appearances across a season to forget from a collective standpoint.
Oduro showcased impressive attacking potential across these outings, albeit with his defensive nous having been called into question on more than one occasion.
Despite such concerns, though, the starlet evidently did enough to convince those behind the scenes at Barcelona of his readiness to contribute next season, too.
As per a report from Sport:
‘A few days ago Oduro’s agents met with Barça at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper. One of them, the former Ghanaian player Paul Acheampong. The conclusion reached by both parties is that, in principle, he will continue next season with Barça Atlètic in the Second RFEF.’
