La Liga giants Barcelona have expressed a recent interest in the signing of a leading member of the defensive ranks at Italian outfit Inter Milan.
That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Denzel Dumfries as the player in question.
Those of a Barcelona persuasion will of course be well accustomed to the talents boasted by wing-back Dumfries at this point.
As much comes after the Dutch international racked up a hefty five direct goal contributions, en route to Inter sending Hansi Flick’s troops packing from the Champions League this past season.
And the significance of as much, evidently, was not lost on those behind the scenes at the Camp Nou.
As per a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano, after confirming that Dumfries’ contract at San Siro contains an altogether reasonable €25 million release clause:
‘Understand Barcelona have been showing interest in the recent months but no formal proposal or official approach made.’
