Barcelona fans vote on Ter Stegen captaincy situation

The fanbase at La Liga champions Barcelona have had their say on the fresh debate surrounding the captaincy situation at the club.

This, of course, comes amid mounting speculation that Marc-André ter Stegen will imminently be stripped of his armband.

With those behind the scenes at the Camp Nou growing increasingly bemused by the behaviour of the German shot-stopper, Ter Stegen is expected to be removed from Barca’s captaincy group any day now.

And in the case of Hansi Flick and co. making such a call, they will do so with the full support of the Barcelona fanbase.

This comes amid confirmation on the part of Diario Sport that, following a recent survey held by the outlet:

‘Ter Stegen’s popularity among Barça fans is at a low point and proof of this is the overwhelming result of the survey carried out on the SPORT website. 88% of our readers are in favour of snatching the captaincy from the German goalkeeper for next season.’
