Barcelona confirm double boost for Napoli showdown

La Liga giants Barcelona have this afternoon unveiled the club’s official squad list for their upcoming meeting with Serie A champions Napoli.

And, in the process, they have confirmed a timely double boost on the personnel front.

Xavi’s troops, of course, will mark their return to continental action on Wednesday night, when they make the trip to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona for a Champions League Last-16 first leg meeting with the aforementioned Napoli.

Barcelona are set to head into proceedings fresh off a morale-boosting win at the weekend, when the Catalan giants left it late to put Celta Vigo to the sword by two goals to one.

And, as alluded to above, the hopes of Xavi and co. of making it two wins on the spin on Wednesday have today been afforded a boost.

This comes by way of confirmation that two high-profile members of the Blaugrana’s squad have recovered from injury in time to make the flight to Naples.

The players in question? João Félix, and Sergi Roberto.

Both frontman Félix and midfielder Roberto were considered major doubts to feature in Barca’s midweek squad, owing to respective ankle and Achilles injuries.

After returning to training on Monday, though, the pair have indeed been included in boss Xavi’s travelling party, which can be seen in its entirety below:
