Clément Lenglet is one step away from signing a loan deal with Tottenham.
Barcelona and the Premier League club have already reached an agreement in principle for the loan of the player, according to Marca.
The main problem in the negotiations had been the player’s salary, as Spurs did not want to pay it in full.
The agreement now is that Barcelona will pay 15% of the wages and Tottenham will pay the remainder.
Lenglet did not report for Barcelona training on Monday as manager Xavi had given him permission last week to go and negotiate with the English club as talks were at an advanced stage.
It remains to be seen how much the purchase option, which is expected to be in the region of €10 million, will be worth.
