Augsburg have submitted an offer to Porto for Toni Martinez (25), according to Sky Germany. The Bundesliga side want to sign Martinez on loan with an option to buy for a reported fee lower than €10m.
Negotiations between the clubs are ongoing but former Spanish youth international Martinez has stated that he wants to join the Bundesliga club after two seasons at Porto.
Martinez joined Porto from Famalicão in 2020 for €3m and has played 64 games across all competitions, scoring 15 goals – the Spaniard would come as a replacement for Michael Gregoritsch and Alfreð Finnbogason and will provide competition for summer arrival Ermedin Demirović.
Per the report, French midfielder Warren Bondo (18) is also wanted by Augsburg. The former AS Nancy player is currently without a club after his contract expired.
Augsburg have been relatively quiet this summer with Arne Maier signing on a permanent basis, and Maximilian Bauer joining Demirović at the club on a free transfer.
